Questions & Answers

Whom do you work with?

I work with adults from a wide range of professional and creative backgrounds, including attorneys, physicians, therapists, social workers, entrepreneurs, writers, and artists. What they often have in common is a creative way of thinking that doesn't always fit traditional systems and expectations.

Is ADHD coaching the same as therapy?

No. Therapy focuses on understanding emotions, experiences, and mental health, while coaching is action-oriented and focused on moving forward. Together, we develop practical strategies, routines, and systems that improve organization, productivity, and follow-through. Many of my clients also work with therapists, and the two approaches complement one another.

Do I need an official ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

No. Many clients begin coaching before receiving a formal diagnosis or without seeking one at all. If you experience challenges with organization, time management, planning, motivation, focus, or completing tasks, coaching can still provide valuable support.

I'm already successful in my career. Can coaching still help?

Absolutely. Many of my clients are accomplished professionals who achieve great results but at the expense of excessive stress, constant deadline pressure, or burnout. Coaching helps create more sustainable ways of working so success feels more manageable and rewarding.

Is everything we discuss confidential?

Yes. Every coaching session is completely confidential. I understand that privacy is especially important for licensed professionals and others with sensitive careers, and I take that responsibility seriously.

Is it common to be diagnosed with ADHD later in life?

Yes. Many adults discover they have ADHD after years of relying on coping strategies that eventually become less effective. Adult diagnoses are becoming increasingly common, and coaching can help you better understand your strengths and build strategies to support long-term success.

Can coaching help me manage deadlines better?

Yes. Struggling with deadlines is often less about effort and more about how you experience time. Together, we'll develop planning methods that fit how your brain works, helping you stay ahead of deadlines rather than constantly racing against them.

My ideas don't always connect with my colleagues. Can you help?

Yes. Creative and nonlinear thinkers often have innovative ideas that others may struggle to follow. We'll work on organizing and communicating your ideas more clearly so they're easier for others to understand, appreciate, and act on.

How do coaching sessions work?

Sessions are held one-on-one and focus on your current priorities while keeping your long-term goals in mind. Coaching is available by video or phone, making it convenient no matter where you're located.

What can I expect during the first session?

We'll review your intake information and discuss what brought you to coaching. We'll identify your current challenges, explore what's getting in your way, review strategies you've already tried, and establish clear goals for our work together. You'll leave with practical next steps you can begin using right away.

Do you work with clients outside Southern California?

Yes. Since coaching is offered through video and phone sessions, I work with clients regardless of location.
